According to TheMarker, the ruling provides a glimpse into the Court's attitude to the media. Advs. Zohar Lande, Eyal Nachshon, Adi Shoham, and Omer Keydar of the firm's Litigation Department represented RGE Knesset Channel, which won the tender.

Adv. Liat Keisary, a partner in the Private Clients Department, published an article on the Calcalist Dun's 100 website about inheritance disputes, wills, and estates.

Dr. Zvi Gabbay, Adv. Moran Bickel, and Adv. Sapir Malul represented Rafi Bar-Lev in a hearing before the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office. The DA's Office was considering filing an indictment against Bar-Lev for fraudulent receipt, but instead chose to close the case against him.

Adv. Harel Perlmutter lectured today at Ben-Gurion University on startup taxation. The lecture was part of a course for MBA students in the Faculty of Management.

Adv. Micky Barnea was interviewed for an article in Calcalist's Executive Magazine about the superseding power of CEOs over the board of directors in public companies.

Dr. Zvi Gabbay and Hadar Israeli of the firm's Capital Markets Department contributed to the Chambers and Partners anti-corruption guide, which provides expert legal commentary on key issues for businesses.

As part of the firm's activity with the IBM Alpha Zone Accelerator, Adv. Ariella Dreyfuss participated in a session with participants of the new class and lectured on penetration into new markets.

Our firm represented MMG Capital Ventures as the main investor in the latest investment round of Home Hero.

Our firm represented INGL during the negotiation and conclusion of an MoU for the construction by Energean of an offshore dry gas pipeline from the Karish and Tanin fields to the Israeli shore. The pipeline is expected to be transferred to INGL in the beginning of 2021.

Adv. Micky Barnea was featured in a follow-up article in Globes about the Income Tax Authority's new circular that changes the tax policy relating to capital-based compensation dependent on performance. According to Barnea, "The new circular stipulates that options allocated under an approved plan, submitted lawfully to the Tax Authority, may be discovered on judgment day as not being entitled to reduced capital taxation."

Adv. Daniel Lorber, the head of our firm's Equity Incentives practice field, was interviewed by Globes on the Israel Tax Authority's latest decision. Instead of a capital gains tax rate of 25% on options granted to employees for exercise in the event of an exit or issue, the proceeds from such exercise will now be considered labor income, and therefore the tax liability may rise to 50%.

We hosted today together with TitanBrandWise a seminar on how to optimize your website in 2019. 

Advs. Zohar Lande, Eyal Nachshon, and Omer Keydar of Barnea's Litigation Department represented Azrieli Group in a class action suit for not displaying a price per unit of measure for certain products on its e-commerce website. A settlement was reached in the suit.

Adv. Liat Keisary lectured today as part of a training course at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya for the executives of family companies. She discussed inheritance, wills, and legal incompetence.

We hosted today a delegation of French startup companies from the life sciences and medtech sectors. The delegation was organized by the Embassy of France and visited Israel to learn about the local life sciences scene. During the event, Adv. Ariella Dreyfuss discussed the Israeli medtech ecosystem and the legal challenges companies should be aware of.

Barnea is representing the Chinese infrastructure company PMEC in its request to disqualify the winning bid in the tender for Highway 16. The company is being represented by Advs. Zohar Lande, Eyal Nachshon, and Shachar Rothschild from the Litigation Department.
