Tel Aviv's real estate market has entered a holding pattern, with foreign residents choosing to wait for the upcoming election results. This caution is also influenced by exchange rate considerations and concerns about the potential economic implications for Israel. Adv. Liat Keisary was interviewed on the matter.

As part of its annual review of the most significant judgments issued over the past year, Nadlan Center interviewed leading legal professionals in the fields of real estate and real estate taxation, including Adv. Terry Almozlino Arnon. Terry discussed a Supreme Court ruling that emphasized that, in real estate transactions, demonstrating the parties’ intention to enter into an agreement is not sufficient. A written document reflecting the agreed terms is also required.

Our firm represented one of Israel’s leading restaurant groups in a dispute between its controlling shareholder and a minority shareholder. Adv. Zohar Lande, Adv. Daniel Kleinman, and Adv. Asaf Glazner advised the group on negotiating a resolution that brought the dispute to an end. Under the resulting transaction, the controlling shareholder and another shareholder acquired the minority shareholder’s entire stake in the group, based on a valuation of approximately ILS 44 million.

In an op-ed, Adv. Eli Beloshevsky discusses a recent National Labor Court ruling concerning an HR manager at a cybersecurity company who alleged that she had been sexually harassed by her supervisor. The evidence included recordings in which the HR manager confronted her supervisor with various allegations, some of which drew no response. The National Labor Court held that silence alone should not be construed as agreement with the allegations or as an admission.

Harel Perlmutter, a partner and head of our Tax Department, participated in the Dun's 100 Forum for Senior Tax Professionals 2026, where senior tax professionals discussed key developments in Israeli tax policy. The discussion addressed the implications of the retained earnings reform, the challenges of the 2027 budget, changes to VAT collection mechanisms, tax policy affecting the high-tech sector, and the impact of AI and digitalization on taxation. Harel addressed permanent establishment issues in light of the new legislation, as well as changes affecting new immigrants and returning residents.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and the Electricity Authority have published new regulatory measures expected to affect the development, operation, and financing of agrivoltaic projects in Israel. In an op-ed for Calcalist, Adv. Hagit Ben Moshe, a partner and head of the firm's Kibbutz Sector and Energy Department, examines the proposed agricultural cultivation, monitoring, and reporting requirements, as well as the tariff-reduction mechanism for non-compliance with agricultural obligations.

Following the petition filed by Adv. Gal Livshits and Adv. Yoav Schmidt of our firm, the Israeli government announced that it would defer a substantial portion of the cuts, reassess the pricing implications, and provide additional funding for afternoon catheterization services.

In a new article, Adv. Zohar Haim Levinger, a partner in our Litigation Department, examines the growing use of class actions based on technical violations and the erosion of the requirement for a personal cause of action. The article considers how these proceedings can place disproportionate economic pressure on small businesses and calls for a better balance between consumer protection and preventing misuse of the class action mechanism.

We represent Richard Deitz, a shareholder in Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club and Chairman of VR Capital Group, in a shareholder dispute concerning the club's ownership structure. Following actions taken by the other shareholders that, according to Deitz, were intended to prevent him from increasing his stake in the club, we applied to the court for interim relief pending resolution of the dispute through arbitration. Under the court's decision, the dispute will proceed to arbitration, including the question of Deitz's right of first refusal to acquire additional shares in the club. Adv. Zohar Lande, Adv. Adv. Ilan Blumenfeld and Adv. Shay Morhaim of our firm represented the Renuar Group in a strategic transaction with the Castro-Hoodies Group to launch the Chinese sportswear brand ANTA in Israel. Under the transaction, a joint venture will be established in which Castro-Hoodies will hold a 51% interest, while Renuar and Israel Chen, who will serve as the company's CEO, will hold the remaining 49%. Operations are expected to commence in 2027 and will include retail stores, wholesale distribution, and online sales, leveraging the Renuar-ING Group's retail infrastructure.

Adv. Our firm is advising Amy Group on a strategic investment agreement with Migdal Insurance and Financial Holdings, under which Migdal will extend ILS 350 million in credit to Amy Group. Adv. Misha Gitterman advised Amy Group, which is controlled by Shlomi Nehiesi, on the transaction. The agreement supports Amy Group's growth strategy in the commercial and income-producing real estate sectors. Under the agreement, Migdal will receive options to acquire 10% of Amy Group's shares, which will be issued upon the company's IPO.
